
This afternoon, our teachers were provided with lunch thanks to the Chick-fil-A in the Huntington Mall food court and Lavalette Giovanni's. We also had the Kenova Mayor, Mr. Tim Bias, present to thank our staff for all they do! The Neighborly Navigator portion of our Amazing Race is complete, but we still have another day tomorrow!








Buffalo Middle wants to extend its thanks to American Legion Post 93 of Ceredo-Kenova and McDonald's of Kenova for providing breakfast for our staff this morning! Also, we were visited by Delegate Ryan Browning and Prosecuting Attorney Richard Thompson, who helped thank our teachers for all they do! It's been a great morning so far!



The students enjoyed a gorgeous day in Charleston at the Dirty Birds Game for our fifth six weeks incentive reward trip! I will post more pictures in an album on Schoology.











Today our teachers enjoyed "Family Fun Run" - breakfast and an afternoon treat provided by our families! We are so thankful for everyone who helped pull this day off for our staff!











We had a wonderful first day celebrating and thanking our staff for all they do throughout the year! Today's Amazing Race theme was Admin Avenue. We're already looking forward to tomorrow!











Special shout out to the HATS program for providing our staff with donuts this morning!! We appreciate the partnership we have with Zac and Marshall through this program!!


We want to give a shout out to the Buffalo Middle School Teacher of the Year, Allison Buckhannon, and our Service Personnel of the Year, Trish Canterbury. Both ladies were celebrated at the county celebration last week. We are blessed to have these two at our school!







Today is National School Lunch Hero Day! We are so thankful for our cooks - Marsha Adams and Sheila Gilbert.

Today is National School Principal's Day, and we want to take some time to shout out 2 of the best: Mrs. Ryder & Mr. Watkins. We hope that you both felt appreciated today!!

Monday Reminders!! Parent/doctor notes for the 5th six weeks (3/7 - 4/24) are due by 3 pm today for students to qualify for the Dirty Birds field trip! Also, we still need families to respond to our message about teacher appreciation week, and we need a business to sponsor breakfast and lunch next Thursday, 5/8.

Students should have brought home a letter today that explains how to access their test scores after they take the state test in May. Each child has a separate letter with a specific access code. Please see the pictures below with a sample letter and all the information about the portal.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9 this year. I sent out an email and Schoology message to all parents/guardians on Monday with details on how you can help! Please respond back to these messages, or you can call the school and ask to speak with the school counselor if you can help!!

Please join us for our Spring Band Concert on May 5th at Spring Valley High School. Students need to arrive by 6:45 pm, and the concert starts at 7:30 pm.


When your child is going somewhere other than home, we need to know the street it is located on. We have to write the address on the bus note, so the driver knows where the student is to be dropped off. Please notify the office of any changes to your child's after school plan by 1:30 pm.
