
Mrs. Hatfield’s science classes prepare and carve pumpkins for display at the pumpkin house!




Congratulations to the our Junior ROTC Raider team for placing 2nd at the State Raider meet! The team competition started with a 5K run then proceeded to an obstacle course, rope bridge, litter carry, and logistics.
AFTER the grueling team competition, two SV cadets - Vinny Sparks and Akira Lenore - also competed in the Ultimate Warrior challenge which included a two mile run wearing a 35 lbs. rucksack and the obstacle course (again!).





Our Spring Valley JROTC Timberwolves battalion Color Guard at the CK Autumnfest parade. Thank you to cadets Blake, Vinny, Cassidy, and Benji for this service and for representing Valley so well!

CTE Auto Tech students change oil, work on the brakes, and perform other auto maintenance tasks today during class!




Mr. Wroblewski, Mr. Fulks and Mrs. Elliott's classes meet with Chase Bank representative Diane Whitlock. She spoke with over 200 students throughout the day on bank accounts and other financial literacy topics.




SV will be hosting a FREE drive-in movie on Oct. 22nd after dark!


We want to give a huge thank you to the National Guard and Army for having activities\games setup and bringing in vehicles for students to interact with during Powderpuff. They also landed a Blackhawk helicopter and did a flyover over of the Powderpuff game on the way out!





There will be a dunking booth tomorrow during the Powderpuff games! Donations go to the SV Community in Schools program


There is only two days left in our food drive for the SVHS pantry. Freshmen are currently in the lead for bringing the most donations but it’s very close!


Mr. Wroblewski and Ms. Murray worked with WVSOS office to host a voter registration drive earlier on Monday. Over 100 seniors registered to vote on this day!





Mountwest is offering an informational session on their excellent vet tech program on Monday, Nov. 7th from 5:30-6:30.

Our Project Lead the Way class is selling lots of 3d printed items just in time for Halloween! Check out the QR code included and order your items today!



Ms. Fischer’s Biology classes complete a pH lab. Students used 3 different indicator papers to determine the pH of 14 different solutions. It was a huge success!





During this homecoming week, we are also asking our Timberwolves to get involved in a food drive to help stock our new food pantry. Students who participate will be entered into a raffle and items will count toward the week-long battle of the classes!


Future educators in the Careers in Education CTE program create prototypes of original board games to help students learn elements of literature.




Spring Valley students hold a virtual call with Senator Manchin to explore applying for the US service academies as well as ROTC to further their education and serve their country.
